Seeds as of 1/28

A couple notes: Massachusetts remains in the bracket, even though St. Joseph's remains out. St. Joseph's have beaten the Minutemen twice, but UMass' resume remains to strong to left out of the field. UMass is now skating on thin ice, as they can not afford to slip up in the A-10.

Syracuse is a true 12 seed, but could only be inserted as a 11 seed (8 Big East teams). They got the nod over a falling Villanova squad, even though Villanova holds the head-to-head matchup. Villanova is slumping at the moment and have a tough schedule ahead (including a huge "bubble" game Saturday vs. Syracuse). Syracuse is one of the last teams in even though there rotation has now shrunk to 6 players! Freshman guard Scoop Jardine has been suspended indefinitely by the University, which means Syracuse is now absent another player. It should be interesting to see if the Orange can stay afloat over the next couple weeks.

Arizona State remains after dropping both decisions to the Washington area schools this week. They played well against Washington State, however, and showed that they are for real in the Pac-10. They computer numbers at the moment are AWFUL. An RPI in the 90's and an SOS close to 200 will not look good on Selection Sunday. The Sun Devil's numbers should improve with Pac-10 play and that is why they remain in the field for the time being.

With that said, here are the Seeds to this weeks field. I currently have the field in bracket form but I'm having trouble moving it from Microsoft Excel to my blog. If anybody knows how I can insert a file from Excel into my blog that would be great! I hope to get the bracket out by later tonite.
